A school above the clouds overlooking the Himalayas
Nepal is a small country between two major powers, India and China. In the north, the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas, known as the “Roof of the World,” line up and you can see the beautiful scenery from all over Nepal.
It takes 8 hours from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, to the east on a tough road.
The school is located in a small village in Khotang District, surrounded by mountains.
Six years ago in 2011, the YouMe school started here in Khotang because of the strong feelings of founder Mr.Rai, “I want to create a dream-like school that everyone can attend.”
But initially, a small school building made of bamboo started with one teacher and eight students.
Since then, the number of students has gradually increased, and in 2015 we were able to build a concrete school building.
Today, a total of 230 children, from Kindergarten 3rd grade to 6th grade elementary school , are energeticly attending school and spending a fulfilling life every day.

もっともっと多くの子供たちに質の高い教育を提供したいという想いから、インターネットによるオンライ授業をウダヤプル郡リムチュンブン市と連携して、市内の公立学校２校に通う１０学年生合計８０名を対象に提供しています。
都市部に集中する質の高い教育を山間部に届け、非常に大きい教育格差の解消を目指しています。２０１８年、日本でのクラウドファンディングにより資金調達しスタートしました。詳しくはこちらから＞＞
山間部の子供たちの苦手科目である英語・算数・理科の３科目を、１日１科目１時間ずつの授業を毎週３日間行いました。
首都カトマンズから優秀な先生がオンライン授業を担当し、双方向遠隔授業の強みを生かし、生徒からの質疑応答を可能にしました。
